Probus originated in the United Kingdom in 1965.   The first Probus Clubs were formed in New Zealand in 1974 and in Australia in 1976.

There are men's clubs, ladies clubs and combined clubs.

Probus stands for Professional and Business.

Membership is open to anyone of good character who has had some measure of responsibility of achievement in any field of worthy endeavour.

The Kerikeri Mens Probus Club meets every first Tuesday of the month, except January at 10.00 am in the RAZZA (RSA) located in Cobham Road, Kerikeri

The meeting starts with morning tea then general business followed by a ten minute speaker, often one of our own members.

There is then a main speaker for about 45 minutes, who is drawn from the local or wider community and has expertise in some interesting subject.

We organize an outing once a month, usually on the third Thursday.
